COLLEEN G. THOMAS (nee MITCHELL) November 29, 1955 - June 16, 2013 Colleen Thomas peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 with her family by her side. Colleen will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Andy Thomas, her two sons, Sean (Jackie) Palmer and Deverand (Kelly) Palmer, and her siblings Sharon Wozny, Terry Mitchell, Yvonne Eastman, and Yvette Mitchell. She will also be remembered by her five grandchildren Madison, Brynn, Gavin, Nate and Mia. Colleen was a very proud mother and grandmother. She loved to tell others about her family. Colleen was known for her sense of humour, her kindness, and her love of life. Pets also held a special place in her heart. Many thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre. Services will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, in Selkirk, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Health Sciences Centre Foundation, 820 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1R9.
