Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS J. DAKINS Peacefully on June 21, 2013, Douglas passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 59 years. Douglas is survived by his loving wife Sharron; son Dylan; mother Ellen; brothers and sisters and their families in Ontario. He was predeceased by his father Edmund and brother Darryl. Douglas was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, loved nature and had a dry sense of humour. His pride and joy was his 1973 MGB which he loved working on. Douglas coached Dylan in soccer and enjoyed watching him play hockey. Douglas made many friends at Gardewine North where he worked for many years. "I will always miss, love and remember you. And I will cherish my greatest memories and I will never forget you." Love Dylan. The family would like to thank Dr. Brenda Holyk and the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and Douglas will be laid to rest in Oakville, Ontario. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Very close grade school friend in Clarkson, Ontario. His dad Ed worked with my father at Ford. I haven't seen nor heard of 'Dougie' for decades. I am glad he grew to have a family of his own. Must admit at smiling more than just a bit at the thought of the 9 year old I knew loving gardening. Dougie and I spent all our time digging things up, not planting them! My condolences.
