RUTH KIRKLAND Following a brief illness, with sadness we announce the passing of Ruth Kirkland at the age of 87 years at the St. Boniface Hospital on June 27, 2013, with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Jim Kirkland (Debbie), Les Kirkland (Leanne), Alison Kirkland; grandchildren Sheena (Jordan), Tara, Kelsey, Jaime; nieces Judy, Lois, Elaine, Lorraine, Barbara, Janice, Valerie, Linda, Bonnie, Karen, and nephew Bill, and special friend Ken. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Lydia, her husband James, sister Selma, and brothers Wilfred, Victor and Allan. Funeral services will take place at Green Acres Funeral Home, #1 Hwy East at Navin Road at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Thanks to the doctors and the nursing staff on the 7th Floor South of St. Boniface Hospital for all their care and support. We are saddened to hear of the passing of Aunt Ruth. She was so much a part of my life while I was growing up in Winnipeg and all of her and Uncle Jim's visits to Minneapolis to see mom & dad.
