Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNA BERNICE EMBERLEY (nee WILEY) 1928 - 2013 Surrounded by her family, Verna passed away peacefully at the Pinawa Hospital on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the age of 84. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 64 years, Gordon, and sister Helen. She is also remembered by her five children, 12 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces, nephews and friends. At Verna's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place sometime in August. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Pinawa Hospital for the compassionate care they gave to Verna and her family. Longer obituary will follow. We were saddened to hear of Verna's recent passing. We became friends with Verna and Gord while living in Lac du Bonnet for an eight year period. We became good friends with both Verna and Gord and we have kept in close contact with one another even after moving to Vancouver, B.C . We have many treasured memories of Verna, a gentle and loving lady, a gracious host and loyal friend. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
