MABEL GREGG (nee PANASCHUK) September 17, 1933 - June 29, 2013 It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mabel Gregg (nee Panaschuk). Mabel passed away during a brief stay at Stonewall Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her children Darlene (Milton), Raymond (Carol), and Carl (Susan), her sisters Kay (Nick), Lorraine (Steve), her brother Harry (Heather), as well as many grandchildren Stacey (Connor), Tracy (Jeff), Bradley (Laura), Kristy (Phil), Tyler (Jasmine), Chad (Rachele), Matthew, along with great-grandchildren, Kelton, Kasey, Nathan, Mallory, Sara. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Anne, sisters Joan and Marion, brother-in-law Bill, her husband Walter, and grandchildren Angela and Kevin. Mabel was born and raised in the Oak Hammock area before moving and settling in Stonewall. She was a hard worker and dedicated her life to raising her family, as well as working their farm. In her spare time, she also made and sold farm cream to help support her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was an avid gardener planting large vegetable and flower gardens when she was able. Mabel started her battle with Cancer in 2007 and continued this battle until her passing. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall. Mabel will be sadly missed but always remembered. She is no longer in pain and finally reunited with her Walter, who she missed deeply since his passing. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the CancerCare Society of Manitoba.
