Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNICE DROZD (nee KWASNICKI) April 26, 1931 - July 4, 2013 On July 4, 2013, Bernice Drozd passed away peacefully at the age of 82 at Carman Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to the staff and Palliative Care volunteers. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Stanley, her children David (Tammy), Brian (Lori) and Cathy (Bob) and grandchildren Stephanie, Bryton (Atira), Jasmine, Brent, Brandon, Dustin, Alex, Natasha, and Melayna. Bernice was born on April 26, 1931 in Stonewall, MB. Bernice and Stanley were married 53 years. She worked alongside him farming in the Fannystelle and Stonewall communities. Bernice loved to square dance, paint, and cherished her flower and vegetable gardens when she wasn't busy making her prized cabbage rolls and perogies. Recently she discovered a passion to teach catechism. Prayers will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Starbuck, MB. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Heart Parish in Fannystelle, MB. A reception will follow. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Carman Palliative Care, Box 610, Carman, Manitoba R0G 0J0. www.seasonsfunerals.ca

I am very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. On my many visits to your home as a young man, it's hard to forget how your parents always made me feel so welcome. Your Mom always worried if we were hungry and who could forget those countless dainties out on the kitchen counter. Your Mom always encouraged our aspirations, and often ensured we had at least one fan at our curling games.
