TED KON December 11, 1927 - July 6, 2013 Suddenly, after a long battle with numerous health issues, Ted passed away on the morning of July 6, 2013 at the Arborg Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anne (Chmil), children Joyce (Barry) Mankewich, Lucy (Henry) Bernier, Ken (Linda), Ron (Debbie), Karen (Don) Ciemny, Alan (Joanne), Debbie Mankewich, Elaine (Greg) Greening, 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister Julie (Rene) Vermette, brother Joe (Helen), brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Josefa, siblings John (Helen), Jean (John) Woloshyn, Bill, Edward, Adeline (John) Smith, and son-in-law Douglas Mankewich. Ted was born in Winnipeg and moved to the farm in Fisher Branch at a young age. Ted worked on the family farm and in bush camps cutting pulpwood, and in 1954 he married Anne Chmil and moved to their own farm where he lived until his passing. A celebration of Ted's life will take place on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fisher Branch, MB.
