RAYMOND NEIL CHAMBERS On Friday, July 5, after a courageous battle with cancer, Raymond "Neil" Chambers, beloved husband of Laverne passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit at the age of 76. A devoted father to Jim, Rob and Gary (Angela). Neil was a proud grandfather to Mitchell, Matthew, Austin, Jesse, Rae-Ann, Rowen, Shaan, and great-granddaughter Ceyanne. He is also survived by sister, Karen Belanger (Andre) and family of Regina, SK. Neil was predeceased by his parents Grace (Neil) and George Chambers and infant daughter, Susan. Neil was employed at Air Canada for 35 years and in his retirement continued his love of flying by becoming a builder and flier of model air planes. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, canoeing and especially cycling. He also enjoyed curling for many years and more recently wood-carving and spending time with family and friends at the "trailer" at Spruce Sands. Neil was a loving husband, generous parent and loyal friend. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle way and be missed by all who knew him. Graveside Service will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, on July 10 at 2:00 p.m. Please meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital or CancerCare Manitoba. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
