I met Larry many years ago when we were just kids in the Road Jents car club. When he had his 55 chevy, which he loved dearly, to which we lost our cars to a fire in the club. We stayed friends over the years and visited him many times and we went out to car shows and he drove his 37 Ford. he will be greatly missed. The lord has you now in street rod heaven. God bless you. - Posted by: Don Schilke (Car buddies ) on: Jul 17, 2013

I first meet Larry in 1977 working at Maryland Bridge ESSO and was immediately drawn to him. He would take me for a ride in his 1968 Chevy Nova...his pride and joy. Through my College and University days we remained good friends and I would see him on a weekly basis. He loved going to Brainard to watch drag racing and equally enjoyed helping out at the local car shows. When I moved to BC in 1990 I would still meet with Larry at Johnny's Restaurant whenever I came back to town and called him weekly when in BC. What amazed me about Larry was his ability to stay positive through all of his health issues. When asked he would tell me how he was doing, and then always finish with "...other than that I am not doing too bad". He also supported me in my career change to Automotive Service Technician. I considered Larry my best friend and just enjoyed hanging out with him. Little did I realize he would become my inspiration. You're in God's hands now...rest in peace. Condolences to Linda, Jack and family. - Posted by: Donald Greer (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2013

Larry was a regular at our establishment, Johnny's Marion Restaurant, for many years. If a day ever went by without Larry showing up we knew it was because he was at some car related event. Cars were Larry's passion and his 68 Chevy was his pride. We'll miss your lively banter dear friend. Rest in peace. Our condolences to the family. - Posted by: Andromidas Family (Friends) on: Jul 13, 2013
