It is already March of 2014 and just read of Judy McCallum's death which lead me to Linda's. Shock and incredible sadness! My heart goes out to Susan, Ken and Mrs. Maxom. I carry such happy memories of growing up on Leila with Linda and Susan. It is so clear in my heart and mind and will be forever. - Posted by: Adele (Hawkins) Deegan (former childhood friend and neighbour) on: Mar 08, 2014

I was so shocked and saddened to read of Linda's passing. I am sorry this response is so late, but I just heard this shocking and sad news today. So many sweet memories of growing up with the "twins" on Leila Avenue. Although we have lost touch in the last years, memories of Linda will be forever in my heart. My deepest sympathy and love to Susan, Ken and their families. Rest in Peace dear Linnie. We'll all meet again in the "tot-lot" one sweet day. - Posted by: Janice Gravelines (Childhood Friend) on: Sep 04, 2013

Sorry to hear about the passing of Linda my stepmother. My condolences to all her family and friends. This passing is such a shock to myself and my immediate family and we apologize for such a late response since we have only just today found out the sad sad news of Linda. Linda was a very special loving lady and held a very special place in our hearts and will be very sadly missed. - Posted by: Wanda Wyryha (StepDaughter) on: Jul 23, 2013

Linda and I worked together for many years. I could always put a smile on her face when I came in the office singing Jan and Dean's song "Linda". And she could always put a smile on mine by giving my work priority over others. We debated the dubious merits of Perry Como songs and when she went to visit his home, I warned her about stalking laws. She was a hard worker who I could always count on when there was a deadline. My condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Bob Pruden (Co-worker) on: Jul 18, 2013

Linda was special, a pleasure to work with, a person who had more energy than a spark plug and gave me enough jibes to get through any day. She loved to educate me on our shared Ukrainian heritage, although she held out little hope that I would ever really get it. She was also a heck of a ball player who, as I recall, once lead a bunch of CBC folks over our mighty Management Committee Muskrats, people from hers and mine home department. She taught us a little humility that day, something we needed a shot of, no doubt. There are many other fond memories, too, but I'll leave it at that as I think I can hear her harmonizing with Mr. Como on "Magic Moments". Heck, she really can sing. Linda, if ever I catch a falling star, I'll be sure to put it in my pocket, cause I'll know where it came from. - Posted by: Herb (Colleague) on: Jul 17, 2013

My condolences to Linda's family. especially her mom, Susan and Ken. I had the privilege of growing up with Linnie on Leila Avenue. We had a special group of girls on our street and families who showed us the way a community cares about neighbours becoming lifelong friends. Linnie I wish you peace and eternal rest. - Posted by: Judy Bortoluzzi (McBeath)_ Edmonton (Childhood and life long friend) on: Jul 17, 2013

Linda was a kind and caring person. We knew Linda over many years. She was especially close to our parents Lloyd and Doris. Even as Linda was sick this past year, she continued to phone our mother on a regular basis to see how mom was doing. Linda was a true friend and will be missed at our family occasions. Love is what life is about, even when there is loss of one so loved as Linda, there will again be joy in the remembrance of the gifts she gave to those who knew her. Rest in peace Linda. You are whole again. - Posted by: Skogan & Marsh Family (long tme friends) on: Jul 17, 2013
