From the moment of my birth, my hair standing straight up hence the nickname I got "woodstock" to the tons of pictures you have taken, you have always been there. You will always be missed & loved. May God hold you close as we do. Though you never meet your great nieces in person we were able to share many phone calls and picture of them with you. They remember talking on the phone & sharing their funny stories with you. They both want to say they love you & miss you too. God Bless you Uncle Gordie. - Posted by: Tamara (Tammy) Skulimowski & Autumn and Victoria (Niece & Great nieces) on: Jul 20, 2013

Gordie was my buddy, my best friend growing up. He taught me so much. We shared a great deal. We were only 14 months apart. Gordie loved to joke around, he loved to pull pranks..he loved to scare me. He loved to take pictures of everyone & everything. He loved to play games! Gordie love to collect different things. He loved to laugh, he loved life! No matter the distance between us as we became older, Gordie always made sure to keep in touch. He spent a week with me in NY & took me everywhere. I was his gift to our parents on their anniversaries he flew me up to Canada & hid me away until the day came. He made it possible I could be there to say my goodbyes when our Dad past. After every phone call, Gordie would ask, "Do you want to hear a joke?" He made me laugh. He gave so much, and never ask for anything in return. Gordie will always have a special place in my heart! I love & miss you so much. I love you Gordie.."I will see you in the morning!" - Posted by: Ruth (Debra) McDermid Alfano (Sister) on: Jul 20, 2013

You are now at rest and in peace. Our tears will not wash away our memories of you and how you fought courageously until the end. Your spirit will live in our hearts and remind us that life is too short. We will learn that no matter how bad our situation may seem, there is always someone out there struggling to live. We will take battle to help those that cannot help themselves. We will do it in your honour. Farewell Gordie, my nephew, my brother, my friend. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Allen & Jackie McDermid (Uncle) on: Jul 20, 2013
