THELMA ROSS Thelma Milton Ross passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Victoria General Hospital. Thelma was born in Winnipeg to George and Catherine Ross on February 1, 1925. She grew up with her brothers George, Ernie and Stan on Atlantic Avenue attending Luxton School and St. John's Tech. She was a loyal lifetime member of St. John's Presbyterian Church. In her younger years she was also active in the Girl Guides. Thelma was employed for many years at Silverwood Dairies. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed several trips with her cousin Dorothy LaChance to visit her relatives in Scotland. She enjoyed bowling well into her early 80s, even winning several trophies. For the past three years she resided at Lindenwood Manor Assisted Living where she made new friends and was well looked after. Thelma was predeceased by her parents George and Catherine, and brothers George (Scotty) and Ernie. She is survived by her brother Stan (Nancelyn) Ross, nephews Andrew (Nikita) Ross and Doug (Deborah) Ross; nieces Linda Ross, Cathy (Cliff) Squier and Kim Kruse; and residing in Edmonton sister-in-law Joyce Ross, nephew Brian (Angela) Ross and niece Cynthia (George) Gallimore. A celebration of Thelma's life will be held on July 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 251 Bannerman Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined.
