Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKRISTJANA STEFANSON 1922 - 2013 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, aunt and dear friend Kristjana Stefanson on July 14, 2013 at the Gimli and Community Health Centre. She passed away surrounded by her loving family. Kristjana is survived by her daughter Sharon TenBrinke (Bert); son Gordon Stefanson (Lena); her grandchildren Angela (Roy), Bertus (Karat), Caroline, David, Amanda (Maickel), Paula (Cliff), and her great-grandchildren Jessica (Tyler), Kelsey, Carson, Bailey, Mackenzy, Jaxson, Delaney, Zander, Brendan, Ryder and Dane. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and sister Laura. Kristjana was born August 29, 1922 in Gimli, Manitoba where she continued to live and raise her family for most of her life. She married her one true love Walter on July 26, 1941. Kristjana was a natural saleswoman, working at Viking Pharmacy, Phillips Fashions and selling Sarah Coventry jewellery where she won many awards. She was very proud of her large extended family and always found time to make all of them feel special and loved. The door was always open for coffee, goodies, cards, yahtzee, cribbage and some straight forward, honest advice. A memorial service will be held at Gimli Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gimli Humane Society. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom!!! She was an amazing woman.. Always smiling and happy to have visitors... She always talked so much about her kids and grandkids!!! I am so fortunate to have had the chance to know her and to work with her when I was a home care attendant in Gimli... I remember Stjana well from our years living in Gimli and working with her at Viking Pharmacy. My deceased husband Keith was very fond of Stjana - she added much joy to his working days!
