JOHNNY NOVAK Surrounded by family, Johnny Louis Novak passed away peacefully in his home on July 16, 2013. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Sherron, three children, Dave (Louise), Kim, Todd (Annette); eight grand-children, Jennifer, Jessica, Jensen, Jaren, Jaden, Cody, Cole and Avrianne and five great- grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Terry (Ron) Elke, Alice (Wally) Andrushko, Rita Novak and sister and brother-in-law Pat and Don Girden. There are too many dear friends and extended family to mention that also grieve this patriarch's departure. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Novak. Born in LaSalle and grew up in Transcona, MB. Johnny was a loving husband of 54 years. He was and attentive father and grandfather and a caring and loyal friend to all who were blessed to know him. He lived a life with a strong work ethic as a professional painter and a dedicated servant to his Lord Jesus Christ as a long standing Knight of Columbus member. Because he has touched so many lives, a service in his honour will be held at the St. Hyacinthe Parish Church in La Salle, MB on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. We would like to give special thanks to Rita for the extensive loving care that was given to her brother during his battle with cancer. Also our deepest gratitude to his home care team who made it possible for him to pass at home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Johnny may be made to the restoration of the crucifix located in the cemetery at the St. Hyacinthe Parish. I am sad to hear of Johnny's passing. I worked for many years in the superstores and enjoyed his easy going attitude for work and life. We shared our small town appreciation and crossed paths as i watched my daughter play sports and he cheered for his grandkids whom he clearly loved. With much sympathy. - Posted by: Jeanne Karlenzig () on: Jul 24, 2013
