SANDRA SCHULTZ Unexpectedly on July 18, 2013, Sandra Schultz passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 70. She is predeceased by her parents Harry and Vera Pettitt and her husband Wayne. She will be profoundly missed by her family, daughter Jennifer and son, Jason. She is survived by her three brothers Jack (Lynn) of Kelowna, Roy (Lynn) of Edmonton and Brian of Winnipeg, and many beloved nieces and nephews, her cousins Reta Andrews, Lyn Hanna, David Ackroyd and their children. Sandra was born Sandra Marie Pettitt in Russell, MB in 1943. After high school she moved to Winnipeg to attend Success Business College and worked at Eaton's. Sandra met Wayne Schultz and they were married in Winnipeg in 1970. They welcomed their children Jennifer and Jason a few years later. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a receptionist for Girl Guides of Canada where she made many dear friends. She was happy to be a member of the Beaver Club. Sandra had many great joys in life. The longest was movie fanatic. Her brothers can attest to the numerous times they were sent to retrieve her from the Russell Avalon theatre after sitting through the second show. She loved all types, from western to romantic comedy, John Wayne to Johnny Depp, but just none of those dumb alien movies. She could tell you who Elizabeth Taylor married and divorced frontwards and backwards, a skill that she carried over as family historian. Her second joy was summer family vacations at Silver Beach. She often expressed her desire to have just one more. Next, she took particular joy in yelling out "I've been there" every time she saw a shot of Washington, DC much to the eye rolling of her children. This only became more frequent recently as she travelled to New Orleans, the British Isles, Northeastern US, Disney World and most recently Arizona. She was a proud Red Hatter and member of the Trefoil Guild and enjoyed the many friendships she made. Her most recent joy and quickly becoming greatest, was being Nanny to Aiden. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations in Sandra's name can be made to the charity of your choice. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. Sandra wasn't just my aunt. She was such a great friend to the Alberta Pettitts. Always interested in every last one else of us and making the trip out so many times to be with mom and dad. To Jennifer & Jason - Your mother, our friend, was a beautiful person. She was so proud of you and every conversation revolved around her family. Sandra would often visit our Aunt at Luther Home, lifting spirits and making us all have a better day. We are so sad we won't be able to attend on Tuesday, but know that we are sending our love to you. - Posted by: Ted & Wendy Jenkins (cousin & friend) on: Jul 20, 2013

Jennifer and Jason I am heart broken that Sandra has passed away without me able to have one last hug and talk and a laugh with her while we enjoyed our outings to Red Lobster and the movies. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her forever. I'm so sorry for your loss.
