HELGI BARDARSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helgi Bardarson, at the Beausejour Hospital on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Helgi will be forever remembered and always loved by his wife Helen, daughter Diane (Dan), son Kevin (Jill), grandchildren Troy, Clarise, Dale, Chloe, Chyna and Christian, great-grandchildren Larissa and Cole and great- great-grandson Mykhailo. He is also survived by his brothers John and Albert, sisters Alice and Loreen and their families. A private family service was held in OakBank. Seasons Funeral Chapel www.seasonsfunerals.ca

  • ONE NIGHT HELGI CAME OVER TO MY HOUSE TO HOOKUP A STEAM BATH ELECTRIC HEATER. AFTER WHICH WE WERE SITING IN THE REC ROOM HAVING A DRINK. ALL OF A SUDDEN A CLEAR LARGE PLASTIC BALL ROLLED OUT FROM UNDER HIS CHAIR BETWEEN HIS LEGS. WHICH STARTLED HELGI, HE PULLED HIS KNEES UP TO HIS CHIN AND HOLLERED "WHAT IS THAT". BY THIS TIME I WAS LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF. MY YOUNG SON WHO OWNED A SMALL SQUIRREL HAD PUT THE SMALL ANIMAL IN THE PLASTIC BALL FOR EXERCISE AND IT WAS SIMPLY ROLLING ACROSS THE FLOOR. - Posted by: DON MONTGOMERY (OLD FRIEND) on: Nov 28, 2014

  • So sad to hear about Helgi's death. We had such wonderful chats while our dog was waiting patiently to go. Helgi was extremely proud of his yard in Sandy Hook. He and his wife would be so happy that the people who purchased their home has maintained the grass and flowers to his high standards.   • So sorry to hear of Helgi's passing. We have fond memories of his stories about our cottage before we purchased it. My husband always appreciated Helgi's advice about repairing something in regards to the cottage. We missed him when he moved away.
