During a weekend visit by our husbands, we all went out for dinner together & had loads of fun. She will surely be missed. • Dear Ken and kids....I was so sorry to hear that Ruth had passed away. Over the years I had worked with Gloria and Ruth. She was always a happy person and I remember fun times when the kids were smaller volunteering at the GWL Mile 16 refreshment station during the Manitoba Marathons. • My thoughts and prayers are with you. I met Ruth as a co-worker at GWL in the mid 70's. Even though our paths had separated, each time we would run into each other it was like greeting an old friend - a quick hug and on to sharing updates on our lives and family. It was evident that Ruth loved life, loved people and loved her family. • Ruth was such a delight to talk to and such a gentle and kind person. I recall many conversations in the coffee room and she always had something positive and uplifting to say. Even though this mutual friend had moved on, Ruth & I continued to chat when we would meet up in the GWL hallways. I loved to meet up with her as she always made me smile. • I grew up living in the north end of winnipeg right beside her. We were neighbours and friends. Ruth and the family where very kind and special people.
