Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I met Wayne & his family on Vacation in Penticton, BC, when I was 17. We started a "long distance romance" as best we could for kids that had no computers or cell phones. We remained friends and found each other again last year and spoke often. I was in Winnipeg this weekend and looked him up, so just found out of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family. He will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend... Maryann - Posted by: Maryann Akers (Friend) on: Dec 09, 2013

  • When I moved to 11 Laurentia Bay in late June of 1966.. Wayne was my first one at my door and he was my first friend I met at my new house. Wayne was always ready to something mischievous as well.. And he and I went and did just that many many times As kids did back on "the bay" we played and had great adventures And Boy...Did Wayne and me have some grand experiences as kids. I have never forgotten the times I spent with Wayne and the fun we had as kids growing up ..I have retold the stories many times to my 4 kids and others throughout my life because they we are great part of it. I am very sad to hear of Wayne's passing and My deepest condolences to his Family especially and his friends as well. • Happy Birthday Wayne!! You woulda been 52 today! I will so, so miss our weekly phone conversations and our laughs and jokes and plans to get together in the near future since you and I re-connected within the last several years. Not only did we laugh and joke, we had a lot of very serious talks...death...family...relationships...experiences...etc, etc. RIP Wayne!! I will always miss you, but I will see you on the other side!! - Posted by: Dave Baerg (favorite cousin and great friend!) on: Jul 24, 2013
