  • Shawn and I were friends in our teens and I will always remember him as the guy who could make anyone laugh. When he smiled, you couldn't help but to be happy as well. I had run into him years later, and it was easy to see how much he loved his wife and how proud he was of his family. Gone, but never forgotten. RIP Shawn. - Posted by: Rosalynd Dalton (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2013

  • Shawn from the first time i meet you and you came into our lives (At the Shelemdine Co/op) I new you where a hand full but you won me over wth your charm, smile and that curly hair. You became good friends with both of my Daughters Natalie & Aimee and over time you came and lived with us and your Brother as well all though it was only a short time. we worked hard to get you back into school and on the right path so that you could do and be whatever you wanted to be. You had a hard up bringing but you got through it. I lost touch with you until about 5 yrs ago when you found me and we talked on the phone and even on facebook. and then you were gone again. Until i got a phone call from Natalile yesterday (Thur) telling me of your passing i was in shock. Well my dear boy and Son I always wanted, you will be sadly missed by so many friends past and present. I love you and until we meet again you will always be and have a special place in my heart. My condolences to your Wife Carrie and your 3 Children in this very sad time. Much love to you all. - Posted by: Maxine Sattler (Ward) (2nd Mum) on: Jul 26, 2013

He was the older brother I never had, always looking out for me :) I will always remember him for his smile, and his wacky sence of humor and not to mention his curly hair!! and I am sending love to you, and the kids during this hard time xoxoxo My condolences hun.. From my family to yours.. xoxox I won't be able to attend service as I am living in NS but I think my mother will on my behalf.... • Shawn and I were very close friends during our early teens while living in the co-op. I will always remember his smile, as it would light up a room. We had so much fun when we were younger, playing by the river, riding our bikes and of course playing video games. (street fighter of course!) For a young man with such a troubled upbringing, he sure was an amazing, kind and loving person. My thoughts go out to his family in these tough times. RIP Shawn, until we meet again good friend. you will be truly missed - Posted by: Graham King (Childhood friend) on: Jul 26, 2013
