KENNETH JAMES BISHOP It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth James Bishop, peacefully in his home on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the age of 71. Kenneth will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judy of 46 years, his two sons Bill and Andrew (Victoria), three grandchildren Rebecca, Matthew and Peter, brother Charles (Helene), sisters Chris (Paul) Perrick and Diane, sister-in-law Joan Robertson, and many nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by parents Edward (1992) and Teenie (2012). He was retired from his career as a lab technologist, during which he worked hard to complete his science degree in 1993. He enjoyed music, travel, camping, canoeing, fishing and bowling. He was a dedicated husband and father and found his greatest joy in his visits with his grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue, with visitation prior to the service at 6:30 p.m. Private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

  • Our Deepest Regrets are offered to Judy, Billy and Andy, as well as the rest of the Family. Many fond memories on Arden and Crofton.... BBQ's, Thunderstorms, Fireworks, Ken's personality, wit, and sense of humour enhanced them all. I was older than Andy and Bill so I didn't share the school experience with them, but Kara did and sends her sympathy from Calgary. Whenever the Bishops had a family get together, all of the kids would play for hours. Barbie, Cindy, Mike, Bill, Andrew, Gregory remember the fun at Moose Lake? I do...Ken will be sadly missed by all. You must be very proud. Stay strong. - Posted by: Perry&Holly French (Family friends) on: Jul 29, 2013

  • We have fond memories of our sessions with Judy and Ken as we made the plans for Vicki and Andrew's wedding. We always appreciated Ken's wit and sense of humour. He truly loved his grandchildren and enjoyed wearing his "Grandpa" T-shirts. Our hearts go out to Judy, Bill, Andrew and Vicki. - Posted by: Lorraine and Mike Moore (Andrew's in-laws) on: Jul 28, 2013

  • Dear Judy & family, Charles, Chris & Diane, I was deeply saddened when I leaned of Ken's death.
