Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNELLIE MARY (BETTY) HODGES July 26, 1913 - July 30, 2013 After 100 wonderful years, Nellie passed away peacefully July 30, 2013. Nellie was Mother to John (Marianne) Hodges, Sally (Barry) Phillips and Jackie Brixey. She was Gran to Dan (Andrea) Phillips, Carla (Darrin) Davis, Melissa (Paul) Penner, Suzanne (Andrew) McLeod and Nell (John) Balogh. She was Nana to Mike (Linda) Brixey, Debra Hodges and Ken (Noreen) Hodges. She was also Granny to 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Nellie is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marion Ladd. Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Bert Hodges, her brothers Edward Ladd and Arthur Ladd, her son, Ronald Hodges, son-in-law, Ken Brixey and her granddaughter, Toni Brixey. Nellie had a determination, inner strength and deep love of her family that has greatly influenced all the generations of our family. Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of the Convalescent Home for their exceptional, loving care of our Gran. You are very special people in our lives. Sadly, I never knew Aunt Nell really well. What I do know is that she was always a very nice person. I know too that our Dad (Ted) her brother was very fond of her, but they were separated by distance. 100 years! Well done, Aunt Nell. Sending my love up to your pink cloud.
