Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNICE TOMCHAK (nee PRYSIZNEY) March 16, 1940 - July 29, 2013 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Bernice passed away at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter, her children Robert (Carol) Banera, Glenn (Val), Darrell (Doreen) and Jeff (Marianne) Tomchak, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by five brothers, sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Amelia, first husband John Banera (1958), son Kevin (2007) whom she missed dearly, and sister Mary (1996). We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time and a special thank you to granddaughter Tiffany for all her help. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 10:30 a.m at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 5th Avenue South East, Teulon, Manitoba. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Komarno, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Robert, I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Bernice was always willing to lend a hand when she was able to do so. I will miss our occasional telephone chats and seeing her when she was well enough to attend church or shop in town. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family.
