• Marlene touched my heart in so many ways. Having a moment to chat with her always brightened my day. She always had a smile and something funny to share. I also loved talking with her about health issues. Whenever I use black pepper I think of her 'cause she said it was NOT good for you. And she knew a lot. I feel blessed to have known her. • Marlene was an amazing person, we often talked on the phoned and laughed. My heart goes out to the family I will miss her immensely, Whenever I did her hair a few days later I would get a card in the mail thanking me for our special visits. • To the Zakowich family, sorry for the loss of your mother. Marlene was a very loving person. Sometimes I would talk to her on the phone, she would make me laugh. She would call me sweetie. My two granddaughters Mellissa and Alexis loved Marlene. They would call her Baba. They just loved her borsht. I enjoyed picking vegetables out of her garden.
