Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHORA LEA PETURSSON May 21, 1958 July 29, 2013 Peacefully, after a long, hard fought battle with Lupus and then Lymphoma, Thora passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, July 29, 2013. Thora was predeceased by her father Philip. She is survived by her mother Helen, siblings Beth (Gordon) Franklin, David (Anna), and Mark (Tannis). Also left to remember her are her cherished nieces and nephews, and many friends. Thora will also be sorely missed by her adoring four legged, furry kids dog, Monty and cat, Maxie. They were truly the light of her life. For the past many years, Thora has been cared for by the wonderful health care professionals at the Health Sciences Centre and, more recently, at CancerCare Manitoba. The Petursson family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for your compassion, caring, and dedication. You do make a difference in people's lives. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave. (across from Brookside Cemetery). In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to the Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, R3T 0R3, Health Sciences Foundation, MS107-820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1R9, or to a charity of your choice.
