DIANA JUNE DARICHUK ( née DUBOWITS) June 17, 1931 - August 7, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Diana Darichuk on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Concordia Hospital. Diana will be forever remembered by her children, Nancy (Bryan), Edward, Marilyn (Ken); grandchildren Michelle and Evan; sisters Carolyn Dubowits (Leslie), Dolores Dykstra, Connie Dubowits (Stephen Porter). She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Eddie and her granddaughter Elise. Diana grew up in Gonor, Manitoba and had many fond memories of times with her parents and three sisters. She married Eddie Darichuk in 1952. They built a home on a lovely piece of property on the Red River near Lockport. She worked at Sydney I. Robinson Fur Company and later their Sporting Goods Mail order company. She and husband Eddie also worked very hard in their large market garden, growing and selling a wide variety of vegetables. She especially enjoyed the many wonderful trips to Mexico with her husband and numerous friends. Diana was a very kind, and gentle person. She so enjoyed family gatherings and particularly loved being with her grandchildren. Family and friends were always welcome in her home. She was an incredible caregiver. In keeping with Diana's wishes, no formal service will be held. Should friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. The family thanks the staff at Concordia Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.

  • We were so sorry to hear of Diana's passing. Your Mum was always most kind and welcoming to me and I was happy to have known her. I was Carolyn's roommate in nursing and we're still friends. - Posted by: David and Claire day (Friends of Carolyn and Diana) on: Aug 25, 2013
