WALTER FRIEDRICH SCHULDENZUCKER May 20, 1930 - August 5, 2013 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Walter. He left us peacefully in his sleep, as he wished. He was born in Ried, Austria and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He studied hard and took various jobs until he got on with TransCanada Pipeline, working with them for 31 years, until he retired in 1988. This allowed him to work throughout Ontario, allowing him to enjoy his passions, fishing and hunting. He then moved to Winnipeg to be closer to his daughter and granddaughter Kayleigh. He was proud of all his achievements, and was well respected amongst his peers. He was happiest entertaining his friends and family. He was a true, gentle soul who provided love, support and guidance to his wife, children and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father August, mother Karolina, brother August Jr., and sisters Gertrude and Elfriede. He is survived by his sister Alberta (Karli), as well as many nieces and nephews. Left to mourn are his loving wife of 58 years, Myrtle (honey), faithful companion Princess, daughter Carol (Grant), son Derrick, grandchildren Kayleigh, Tara, Bobbi, Dylan, and great-grandson Mason. Our family will forever miss him and will never forget what a truly remarkable person he was. A viewing will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main Street. After mass, continue on to Glen Eden for interment at the niche and a reception to follow. We would like to thank all our family and friends from Canada, the U.S. and Austria for their love and support through this trying time. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
