MARY AILEEN KAMEEN (nee WILSON) After a brief illness, Aileen passed away on August 6, 2013 at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 81 years. Aileen was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) in 2005, her sister Marjorie Field in 2001, her mother Melita in 1977, and her father Edward Wilson in 1941. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Marjorie (Ken Paterson) of Headingley, and Diane (Daniel Jobin) of Quebec City, and her niece Terryl Field-Strutz of Florida, as well as many dear friends. Aileen was born in Winnipeg on August 12, 1931. After graduating from Glenlawn Collegiate, she worked as a stenographer at the J.H. Ashdown Hardware Company. That is where she met Bob and they began a 52 year loving, fun-filled marriage. Aileen and Bob travelled to Palm Desert yearly to vacation with her sister Marj Field and childhood friend Marg Richards. Aileen earned the title of "Social Director" in their circle of friends, with whom she and Bob enjoyed countless dinners and happy hours. Nothing could beat sharing a good "nibbley" with family and friends. Aileen gave to countless charities and spent many hours supporting any friend or neighbour who might be feeling down. Neighbours quickly became fast friends, particularly those met while living on Chataway Boulevard, on McCreary Road, and later at Kenaston Estates. Aileen was a wonderful wife and mother, a great friend, a fantastic cook, and an all-round kind, lovely person. She will be sorely missed. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the team on the third floor south at the Grace Hospital for their compassionate care, especially doctors George and Joshua.
