Condolences & Memories (33 entries)

  • My thoughts and prayers are with Craig's family. I recall Craig as witty and a tad mischievous, which made travelling on school bus #44 everyday...not such a boring ride. Craig was kind and always friendly. I later had the privilege of getting to know his beautiful daughter Danica, as I coached her in cheer leading at the Nationals. Danica, like her Dad was a delight to work with. On August the 8th, Craig had company on his trip to heaven....as my Dad passed away that day as well while camping with my family and I. My Dad was a former union president, so I am sure they shared "brotherhood" union chat on their journey. Craig also had a musical partner, as my Dad Had a beautiful tenor voice....if we listen very closely....perhaps we can hear them sing and play the drums.... My thoughts and prayers are with you all. - Posted by: Jacqueline (Wickdahl) Popplestone (School friend) on: Aug 25, 2013

  • Gail and family, Linda and I were so very sorry to hear of the tragic passing of Craig. It's so very difficult to know what to say when something like this happens. Our experience has been that time does heal the wounds of such a terrible loss though it's hard to imagine that we'll ever stop feeling the pain and sorrow we feel today. Blessings to you and all your family. - Posted by: Terri Krasnowski, Linda Futty (Cousins) on: Aug 20, 2013

  • Dear Zecharias Family I had every intention to be there today for Craig's memorial but my circumstances did not permit it. I am so sorry for your loss, such a tragic reminder of how unpredictable life can be Ecc 9:11. I have known Craig for many years, his endearing quality was his concern for people. You can take comfort in knowing that this good man is in God's memory and a wonderful future awaits him. John 5:28, 29. Rev 21:1-5 - Posted by: Albert MacLeod (co worker) on: Aug 15, 2013

  • I am so sorry to hear of Craig’s passing, so very sad for your tragic loss. My teenage days with both families (Laura,:) my ‘other-mother’) are among my greatest memories. The days of ‘Living Like a Refugee’ - I still think of my Anola days when I hear that song. Baseball (The Refugees), Monominto ‘Pit Parties’, Hazelridge/Anola socials, or there was always a house to gather at. Our group was tight back then. We always looked after each other, and Craig was a huge part of that. He was kind, caring, fun, reliable, hard working (corn field at 16?), and honest – everything that makes parents and family proud. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. - Posted by: Donna (nee Barton) (old friend) on: Aug 15, 2013

  • Gail and family. It is with great sadness that I heard of Craig's passing. I worked with Craig for many years and he was such great help to me personally and to Freshwater, particularly, with his assistance on the Health and Safety Committee. • Our heartfelt sympathy to the entire family on the passing of our wonderful nephew Craig. He was such a wonderful person and always had a wise crack for everyone. From the time Craig knew what mischief was all about he would be in the middle of getting into a wee bit of mischief. Have so many wonderful memories of Craig as a youngster and also as he played the drums at his daughter's wedding. What a drummer he was. God has a great musician with Him now. God has Craig in His loving arms, we have Craig in our memories. To the entire family ask God to keep you in His wonderful comforting arms. Will always miss you Craig, Love you and will see you when our days here on earth are over.
