  • There is no boater anywhere that had as much love and enthusiasm for his boat and cruising than Art did. He loved to be out there cruising on the lake. I think he felt that any time that wasn’t spent out there on the lake was wasted. He will be sorely missed around here. - Posted by: LINDA AND DAN THACKER (Boaters @ Boundary Creek Marina) on: Aug 17, 2013

  • Very sorry for your loss. Art was an amazing guy and i am glad to say we were friends. i met him at GRT rentals where he bought his sleds and looked after them. He had to be one of the most kind hearted guys i met and was very proud of his boys and made sure they always had the best. Godspeed buddy - Posted by: Dave Gregotski (friemd ) on: Aug 16, 2013

I will always remember our trips together for work and the trip to get your boat. We will cherish forever our excursions on your boat with you and Gay. • Oh how Art loved life. It didn't matter if it was snowmobiles, cars, trucks, quads or his beloved boats, he was always having fun with them and the people connected with them. Art was in our wedding party as one of my ushers and best friend. Those who new Art knew how generous he was with his time and friendship. We raced snowmobiles together in the 70's and formed a race team. Art always wanted everything to be first class, so it was no surprise when we showed up at race meets with our enclosed trailer which we built together, and fully equipped with parts and race gear. Art convinced me one cold winter night at their Still Cove cottage to get my motorcycle licence, cause it was as much fun as sledding, only warmer. After I got my licence he gave me one of his bikes to practice all next summer. That lead to many fun rides and good times, always generous! Art was very proud of his sons Ryan, Chris, and Nick and bragged about their accomplishments all the time. I'll miss you brother, love our time together, rest in peace. - Posted by: John & Rita Wasney (Friend & relative) on: Aug 15, 2013

  • So sorry for your loss. It was so great to see you both at Alice's celebration in May. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. - Posted by: Diane and Mike Zimmerman (cousins) on: Aug 15, 2013

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Art was a true friend and he truly was an amazing person. We have many fond memories of Art that we will cherish in our hearts. I first met Art in the 70's working for the same company, only many years later finding out that we were neighbours in Lockport. Getting to know him many years later, I realized that he was still the same kind, funny, sincere person that I knew before. RIP, my friend, our condolences to all of you. I know in my heart how you will feel his young loss of life that he loved so much. God Bless - Posted by: Wendy & Al Mainland (Friend and neighbour) on: Aug 15, 2013
