ANN MARIE HEBERT (nee CHABBERT) 1931 - 2013 Peacefully, at home, with her daughters at her side, on Saturday, August 10, 2013, Ann Marie Hebert passed away at the age of 82 years. Left to mourn Ann's passing are her daughters Annette Skomoroh and Louise Hebert; son-in-law Walter Skomoroh; grandchildren Raymond Bonser and Laura Bonser; also great-grandchildren Jayden and Kailee Lepine. Ann was predeceased by her husband Louis Hebert and granddaughter Cassandra Skomoroh. Ann was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Vivian and Notre Dame deLourdes until returning to Winnipeg as an adult. This is where she met Louis Hebert and they were married until his passing on January 23, 1993. Ann spent many years working at Elkins and Rogers and Salisbury House. She was always known to tell stories about people she met through work. Mom's passion in life was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and was thrilled when she became a great-grandmother. Her dedication and love to family was shown during the many years she cared for Dad during his prolonged illness. Except for the last two years of her life, Mom was a voracious knitter and loved reading. Mom's other interest was her beloved Toronto Blue Jays. Mom had an uncanny ability to smile and laugh even when things looked bleak. Special thanks to Dr. Dennis Caners and the WRHA Palliative Care Program for helping make Mom's wish to pass away at home with family possible. As per Mom's wishes, there will be no formal service and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ann to a charity of your choice. "Might as well laugh... otherwise you will cry." Ann Hebert CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
