We heard about George from his friend Al Franks. I've known George for many years. He & my Dad shared a long friendship & career together at TCA/Air Canada. We saw more of George in the later years when Dad moved back to Wpg. He had such a quick & wry sense of humour and we always enjoyed spending time with him. Rest in Peace George. - Posted by: Patti & Dieter Bonas (Daughter of Bert Paisley - George's co-worker & good friend) on: Aug 29, 2013

Quite behind in reading the Saturday Free Press and just got to the Aug. 17 edition which included this notice of George's passing. As George's next-door neighbours for the past almost ten years, it was a pleasure to get to know him and share a smile and a chat together whenever we met in the driveway or backyard. He struck me as a gentle, funny and intelligent man and we've both missed him a lot since last Nov. when he moved into care. Our condolences to the family; especially Pat and Eric and their wives who we met earlier this summer. Take care... - Posted by: Pat and Diane (Neighbours) on: Aug 27, 2013

What a wonderful man we have lost. Kind, never complained, devoted to his friend Merle and so appreciative of anything done for him. We will miss his smile and his spirit. RIP. - Posted by: caregiver () on: Aug 17, 2013
