Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND LESLIE STOTTS Raymond Stotts peacefully passed away on August 16, 2013 at age 88. Ray was predeceased by his wife, Pat. He is survived by his sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Ray served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and afterwards was employed by CN Rail. He retired as the Western Region Marketing Manager, Via Rail Canada. Ray and Pat were married in Victoria, BC June 2, 1951 and moved east to Saskatchewan, finally settling in Winnipeg. Ray and Pat faithfully attended the WHA, NHL and AHL hockey games, the Winnipeg Symphony, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Goldeyes' baseball, and many other community events. He loved Winnipeg winters but also enjoyed his annual trips to Florida with Pat where they enjoyed the ocean and golf. After retirement, Ray drove cancer patients to their treatments and he and Pat coached Special Olympics bowling. Ray was generous to all he knew and loved to be with the many friends him and Pat made through the years. They made a point of attending many of their friends' special family events such as Baptisms, weddings, childrens' baseball games and musical recitals. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends, both young and old. His friends, Ron and Joanne Kuhtey, were especially kind and helpful to Ray during his latter years and a special thanks to home care worker Ricardo and Deer Lodge caregiver Rolando, to the Deer Lodge group "No One Dies Alone" who held Ray's hand when we couldn't, and to all the senior nurses at the Victoria Hospital and the Deer Lodge Centre. A memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to "No One Dies Alone" program at Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J 0L3 would be appreciated. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
