JOHN THOMAS JONES July 7, 1942 - August 18, 2013 Born July 7, 1942 in Winnipeg to George Thomas Jones and Pearl May Jones (McNiel). Beloved father to Cynthia Catrina Jones and Kimberly Anne Jones (deceased). John was a plant operator for Centra Gas for over 30 years. He raised his two children in the central area while dedicating his full time to volunteering in the community. He was actively involved with the women's shelter on Ellice and worked at the A.N.A.F. Legion bingo and meat draws to raise funds for the community. He put his frugal budgeting skills to good use shopping for food banks. This is just an example of John's zest for life and how much he took pride and joy in sharing his dry humour and big heart with everyone around him. John enjoyed his bus tours with friends to various cities in Canada and the United States. Strong stoic and true John was an excellent father, friend and important member of the community. His passing leaves a void in so many areas. May his love and light shine down on us to help fill the void left in our hearts.
