Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIONEL ROBIDOUX December 10, 1932 August 20, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lionel Robidoux on August 20, 2013 at St. Boniface Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Thérèse (Ruest), his brother Edouard, his sister Alice Roy and brother-in-law Philippe Roy, his sister-in-law Elaine Robidoux. A much loved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Lionel leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 55 years Denise (Saurette), three children Pauline (friend Réal), Nicole (Denis) Collette and Ricky, four grandchildren Kevin Prada, Krystèle and Mireille Collette, Carter Robidoux, siblings Madeleine (Otto) Kirzinger, Omer (Edith), Joseph (Marcelle), Jeanne (Gérard) Therrien, Monique (David) Ting, René, Fernand (Noëlla), sister-in-law Aline Robidoux, as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He touched the lives of many through his generosity and giving heart, which will greatly be missed by all. He really enjoyed his 26 years working at Lionel's Hairstyling on Osborne. He remembered every customers' name and thoroughly enjoyed the socializing involved with his job. As a manager at Foyer Chez-Nous, he went above duty with his concern for the residents. He helped in every way he could. Family was very important to Lionel. Many years were spent at his cottage in Bird River where boating, water-skiing and snowmobiling were a vital part to his family life. He also enjoyed travelling and being a Snow Bird. A special thanks to Dr. Abdhulrehman for his compassion and care throughout many years. Also special thanks to the 6th floor staff and doctors at St. Boniface Hospital. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on August 27, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedral. A eulogy will take place prior to the Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment of his cremated remains will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery on Archibald Street. "We will never forget you. We will always hold a piece of you in our hearts. You were a man of great faith in God. We are all proud and blessed to have had you in our lives." I didn't know Lionel - he is the brother of my mother-in-law Madeleine Kirzinger. Madeleine is so proud of all the accomplishments that Lionel made and the comfort he brought to so many people's lives.
