She was predeceased by her husband William Sasaki, two sisters Edna Fujii and Katherine Phillips. Hanae was born in BC and was relocated due to the Second World War to the sugar beet farms in Letellier, MB. She met the love of her life Bill and together they raised a family in Winnipeg, a city she loved. She had many special gifts and talents that she shared with family and friends including baking, cooking, card making, crafts, fishing, sewing and gardening. She patiently passed these talents to her children and grandchildren. Hanae had a special place in the hearts of all she met and will forever be lovingly remembered. Hanae you left a hole in our hearts but a lifetime of cherished memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • This is written on behalf of Miye Judy Iwabuchi who fondly remembers Allan as a dear friend in their youthful days in Pitt Meadows, B.C. Although both their families moved to Winnipeg at war time they lost touch when Miye returned to B.C. Miye was very surprised and very happy to have met Allan once again in 2011 at her sister Mary's home. She said Allan was always a very lovely and kind person and she will be greatly missed. Miye sends her heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Allan's family. - Posted by: Miye Judy Iwabuchi (nee Yamada) (Friend) on: Sep 04, 2013
