WALTER MARION SOBIE September 21, 1945 - August 20, 2013 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we, his family announce the passing of Walter Sobie on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in Sao Jose Do Hortencio, Brazil. He leaves behind his loving wife Inez and her family to cherish his memory. Walter is survived by his siblings Michael (Ann Batcules), Olga (Bruce) Blahey, Clara Christophe, Bernie (Louise) and sister-in-law Ann Sobie. Also left to cherish his memory are nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his good friend of many years Doug. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Joseph, brothers Paul and Lenard and sister-in-law Liz. Walter was born and raised in Meleb, MB. Walter was educated in Rembrandt School and Arborg Collegiate. He was self employed in accounting. Walter loved traveling, hunting, gardening and had a passion for cooking and good food. Burial has taken place in Brazil. I have fought the good fight to the end. I have run the race to the finish. I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

  • Olga, Clara, Bernie and families. Tom & I are so sad to hear about Walter's demise. Our condolences & prayers to the family. We have many good memories of Walter on the farm in our teenage years. Also when he returned back to Winnipeg from Toronto, we kept in touch and socialized with family and friends. Walter was a great friend and a great person. Take care.
