Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I met Darlene by chance while I was waitressing in Windsor Park. I enquired about her sky blue book. It became a deeply pivotal relationship. Is that a real thing. Learning about spiritual growth and exercise was our common connection. There were few people I could relate to while going through my spiritual journey, a bond I missed. I've been looking for her, many years on fb, since I left the city in ?2004? I know where she is now, Angel's. I've been recreating my room like her stories of an evening routine. The yoga mat on my floor. - Posted by: Angela Williamson (Friends ) on: Jan 27, 2019

  • For a few years it was Bonnie, Sheila, and Laurel. Spent many an evening sitting in that home giggling about boys, school, our stupid teachers and more. Jo always had a snack and a funny story or two to add to ours. She was another mother to all of us, as well as a trusted friend, Godspeed, Jo! • We 'connected' several times since we first met in the 80s. I will always cherish her unreserved acceptance of me as her sister. We were at different points in our lives over the years that made a close relationship difficult. I appreciated so much when she invited me to sit with her and Trevor at Aunt Marge's funeral in April. I was so looking forward to getting together with her and family once my house construction was finished in September. She looked beautiful in April and again on August 18th when I saw her in the hospital. Like others who knew Gigi, I feel I've lost a lot with her much too early passing. - Posted by: Shirley Hiebert (sister) on: Aug 29, 2013
