ARDIS ELEANOR ADDIS February 28, 1922 - August 17, 2013 Ardis passed quietly in her sleep at St. Boniface Hospital. Thank you to the caring nurses, aids and doctors who made Mom's final days warm and comfortable. Ardis was predeceased by her husband Thomas Stephen Addis, her daughter Patsy Grace Addis-Brown and daughter-in-law Margot Addis, her parents George and Grace Huntington, brothers Alex, and Vernon and sister Janet. Ardis leaves a large family to celebrate her life. Son Tommy and wife Eileen, Donald and his friend Edith, daughter Virginia and husband Bill, son-in-law Melvin Brown. Grandchildren Lisa (Larry), Jared (Angela), George (Amanda), Keith (Cathy), Beth (Adam), Trissy (Byron) and David. Great-grandchildren Sara, Kiniw, Dylana, Wabun, and Aidan. Nieces and nephews, Shirley Kirsche and family, Hughie, Terry Billingham, Alfie, Judy and family, George, Carol Edmonds and family, Greg, Jeannie Edmonds and family, Garry Edmonds and family. Ardis's brother George Huntington and family, Teresa Huntington and family, all other family and friends too numerous to remember. Ardis was born in Winnipeg, the first born of Grace and George Huntington. She married Tom on March 21, 1941 and lived in Middlechurch for their entire married life. Tom and Ardis were blessed with four beautiful children, Tommy, Donald, Patsy and Virginia. Ardis and Tom worked side-by-side in the market garden, greenhouses and family farm. After Tom's sudden passing in 1985, Ardis enjoyed travelling the world with her friends Nellie and Fran. She spent many wonderful years watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 - 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.
