DIANNE POPPLESTONE Mom was a great patient.....as long as you didn't touch her fan, adjust her blinds or try to close the door. Dianne Popplestone, passed away at Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon, MB on August 22, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. She was 70 years old. She has left a huge hole in the hearts of her family and those that knew her. She was predeceased by her husband Stan, mother Sidonia VanCaeyzeele, father Maurice VanCaeyzeele and brothers Valere, Ernie, George, Marcel, and Lorne. She leaves behind her children, Patricia Roberts (Cory, Cassidy and Erica), Cory Popplestone (Margaret, Willard, Seth, Jonathon and Cassandra), Debbie Dykstra (James) and Garrett Popplestone (Michelle, Jamie and Tanisha). She is also survived by her brother Eugene (Cisco) VanCaeyzeele, numerous nieces and nephews and her favourite cat Buddy. Mom wanted us to ensure we thanked the following people: Dr. Loudon, Margaret Medwid and all the staff at the hospital, Mackenzie Funeral Home and specifically Ken Loehmer for coming to see her at the hospital, and Larsen Memorial Design. She also wanted to thank everyone who came and visited. She was very sorry to have to turn away visitors at the end and hoped everyone understood. Funeral service will be held in Stonewall on Monday, August 26 2013 at MacKenzie Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with burial at Balmoral Cemetary. Dianne I will miss you. We haven't kept in touch in the last year but just knowing that you have left this world leaves a hole in my heart. To all my Popplestone nieces and nephews, Losing your Mom is one of the hardest things to bear. I know she was a wonderful mother and you will all miss her.
