JOSEPHINE WARGA It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the death of our mother Josephine on Friday, August 23, 2013. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, George, her loving daughter Judy, and her brother Walter Koloski. She is survived by her sons; Jerry (MaryAnn), Bob (Sharon), and Charlie (Barb); her son-in-law Fried Odger and sister Jean Buhay; grandchildren, Keith (Kim), Ken (Deanna), Jeff (Natalie), Gary (Sonya), Ray (Allison), Brent (Michelle), Terry (Lajos); great-grandchildren, Brittany and Matthew, Jesse, Karly and Alyssa, Logan, Emma and Jackson, Cole and Alexis, Aidan and great-great-grandson Jude, as well as many nieces and nephews. Josephine was born on July 3, 1923 in Winnipeg to Frank and Mary Koloski. She was a member of St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church and the woman's auxiliary and donated her time for various functions at the church. She met and married her loving husband George in 1941. She worked for the Hudson's Bay Company until her retirement. Josie loved her bingo, bowling and attending the horse races with George as well as preparing Sunday dinners for her family. She loved to be out socializing whether it was lunch, getting her hair done or outings with the senior's group from Lion's Place and West End Senior Centre. We would like to thank the staff at River East Personal Care Home for their help over the last year. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 28 at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church at 818 Arlington St. at 11:00 a.m. with Father Sarcy, the celebrant.
