Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT WILLIAM (BOB) BANNATYNE October 27, 1930 - August 22, 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandpa and husband, Robert William (Bob) Bannatyne. Predeceased by youngest daughter Jamie and his parents Morice and Lena Bannatyne. Bob leaves behind his wife of 56 plus years Gerrie (nee Clement). Children, Robbie (Patsy), Kim, Garth (Lisa), Lisa and Shane. Grandchildren, Sean, Brett, Mara, Jessi , Jenni, Rory, Rylan and Jorja. His brothers and sisters, Jim, Herb (Diane), Donna, Sheila (Cliff), Bruce (Mary Lynn), Grant (Joyce), Ross (Carol) and Nancy (Rick). As well as his many nieces and nephews. Born October 27, 1930 and living his entire life in Charleswood, Bob was a true Charleswood boy. He married Gerrie in 1956 and together raised six children. His family was his world. Bob was definitely a social guy and especially enjoyed his time with his family and friends. Seldom short of words, Bob's quick witted sense of humour was known by all and was sharp until the end. An avid sports fan, Bob loved his hockey, football and baseball and especially loved watching his kids play. As you journey on we must say good bye for now. We will always hold you close in our hearts. We'll catch you later Dad... The family would like to thank the Charleswood Care Centre team for dad's care during his stay A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Charleswood United Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CNIB or charity of their choice.

On behalf of myself and my family I would like to offer condolences to the Bannatyne Family. I have had the opportunity in the last 5 years to be a co-worker of Bob Jr. and consider him a close friend. Bob Jr is a man of tremendous character and he always spoke of his father with the utmost of respect and admiration. Through this I was able to get a glimpse of what Mr. BANNATYNE was like and what his family meant to him. His passing is a tremendous loss. - Posted by: JOHN KALMAKOFF (FRIEND/CO-WORKER OF BOB JR.) on: Aug 27, 2013
