ALMA DOERMER Alma Doermer passed away peacefully at Lions Manor on August 21, 2013 at age 86 years. She was born in Bessarabia, Romania on August 12, 1927 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. In 1953 she married John Doermer and mothered two sons. She was a homemaker and longtime member of Mission Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband John. Left to mourn her passing are her sons Erroll and Dennis; their respective wives, Helga and Lorrie; grandchildren Jonathan, James, Leah and Hannah; brother Herbert Flaig (Marilyn). Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Avenue, with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Thank you to Lions Personal Care Centre, 3rd Floor staff for their compassionate care.

  • Dear Erroll and Dennis.. I'm sure you remember me. Sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of when I was little and we all attended the Bretheren Baptist Church on Simcoe. Your parents and mine were in the quitar choir and I as a child had to go listen to them practise weekly. Your parents were so very talented. Continue to Cherish all your memories!   • Very sorry to hear of your loss, Erroll and Dennis. I often recall our times together on Ingersol St. As well as your Mom's German made food treats! Plus the way she wore her hair in a full bun. Also her getting a driver's license. And of course there is more. Take care.
