Dear Alana and Family: Wanda's laugh still resonates in my memory... She was such fun, and full of energy! I remember in high school when I was getting my hair highlighted at the mall across from the high school... I had the foils all sticking out on my hair and her and some friends came in to check me out... Her laugh still rings in my ears... she made me laugh so much... she though everything was so funny! I love that! One night she stayed at my house because she missed the last bus.. ... we thought it would be fun to stay up all night... we looked at photos of my family all night... she was the greatest friend! - Posted by: Charlene Ewing (VALDO) (friend from high school) on: Jun 07, 2022

Its been almost 5 years to the day. I dragged myself to this page. The comments put here from people who were touched by Wanda I read with an open heart. I appreciate your input and your love of her. I was extremely saddened by the loss of my twin. A deep, haunted and lonely sadness. Time helps to heal, like I said it's been almost 5 years to the day. I try to live my life to the fullest as a commitment to the bond that we shared. Life truly is a gift! I am living my life to the fullest. - Posted by: Alana (Twin sister) on: Aug 11, 2018

I am so truly sorry to hear of Wanda's passing. I came across this obituary purely by accident in hopes of finding some friends from high school during my time in Edmonton Alberta some 36 years ago. Wanda and her sister Alana were fun and life loving and I had always wondered about them both throughout the years. I would have hoped to have found them both well and happy and that we could have had the chance to reminisce. I am so sorry Alana, I hope your life has been great so far with much more to come, and would love to say hello if you are inclined. I know that this is late by way of condolences to the family, Wanda was great and I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Kelly Rauch (High School Friend) on: Jan 06, 2017

I met Wanda in high school and instantly fell in Love, easy to do, everyone loved Wanda. I had planned for years to make the trip East to see her again but life got in the way. Now that day will never come, here on Earth anyway. My advice to everyone is, if there's something you want to do, do it Now! I Love you Wanda. - Posted by: Rydyr Morse (My High School dream girl) on: Jun 15, 2014

I worked with Wanda in the early 80's at Franklin's in Edmonton. She was one of the best bartenders we had and was a good friend to all of us. She was hilarious and was loved by her co-workers. When my friend heard of her passing and let me know I was saddened for you all, her loving family. I just wanted to let you all know that I thought of her often even though our paths crossed for only 4 years. She made quite an impact! My condolences to you all. Such a dreadful loss of such a wonderful, wonderful person. Wanda had a contagious smile and heartfelt laugh that warmed you to the inner soul. I will truly miss her craziness, her silliness, her stories, her comforting ways, her laughter and the love she exuded. Wanda's term of endearment for us was calling us "cousin" with such excitement and joy in her voice. I will never forget this term and I will never forget Wanda. Love you cousin! - Posted by: Laurie Wagner (cousin) on: Aug 28, 2013
