MARTHA WIEBE (nee BERGEN) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mom, Martha Wiebe on Saturday, August 24, 2013 after her courageous fight against cancer. She is survived by her husband Grant, children Kristyn, Justin and Jared (Allison) as well as eight sisters, three brothers and their families. She is predeceased by her mother, Helena, father Jacob, and her brother, Benjamin. Martha was born May 9, 1959 in Chaco, Paraguay to Helena and Jacob Bergen. She and her family returned to Canada and settled in Plum Coulee, Manitoba in 1965. It was here where she met her husband, Grant and began the start of their relationship, which led to 33 years of marriage. Martha worked for 28 years with Penner Foods (which later became IGA, then Sobeys) until she retired in 2010. She then embarked on a new journey with Crosstown Civic Credit Union. She finally accomplished one of her dreams this past year when she and Grant purchased their own cottage at Moose Lake Provincial Park, where many other family members reside as well. Martha had such zeal for life. Her attitude and infectious smile impacted so many clients and friends on a daily basis and her laughter helped to light up a room. She leaves behind an irreplaceable hole in the lives of so many loved ones. All are welcome to come and celebrate the life of Martha Wiebe, which will be held at Eastview Community Church, 3500 De Vries Avenue, East St. Paul, MB at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013.
