ROSE LEONA HOPLOCK Peacefully, with her family by her side, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our precious mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Rose Hoplock at Park Manor Personal Care Home on August 22, 2013 at the age of 86 years. She will be forever missed by her daughters and sons-in-law: Lorraine and Lyle Eby, Audrey and Brian Fraser, Lois and Ray Lamb, and Matthew Sarama. "Babchi" was so very proud of her grandchildren: Reid Eby (Corrinne Menzies), Tara Eby-Aubin (Paul), Mark Fraser, Kristen Fraser (Marc Bourrier), Mike Lamb (Yeong), Dr. Leslie Lamb, Jay Paquette (Shelli), Ric Paquette (Krista), and great-grandchildren Tyler, Cody, Mykila and Landen Paquette, and Maya Rose Lamb. Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband John, her daughter Adele Paquette, her parents Paul and Mary Kwiatkoski, siblings Vicky Sanford, Fran Murray, Helen Traen and Joe Kwiatkoski. She is survived by her brothers Stan (Helen) Kwiatkoski, Casey (Jan) Kehoe, her sisters Ag (Wally) Budy, Bernie Birchall and Sister Terry Kehoe, OSB and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was an active member of her community, church and the Catholic Women's League. She took great pride in helping others and could always be counted on to assist at various events and functions, ranging from Fall Suppers to quilting bees. Mom enjoyed welcoming guests into her home, whether it be for a cup of coffee, or a large election celebration. She was an amazing cook, avid gardener and had excellent organizational skills, a legacy she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren still rave about her delicious perogies. Mom was the Rock of our Family. She was a devout Catholic who had unshakeable Faith. That Faith continues to flourish in her children and grandchildren. Her love of Family and dedication to Prayer was unsurpassed. During her stay at Park Manor she attended all religious services, regardless of the denomination. Our family would like to express a special thank you to the Park Manor Family, and all who ministered to her. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road at Drake Boulevard. Father Fred Olds presiding. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Rose's memory to the St. Bernadette Parish Building Fund or a charity of your choice. • I called her "Auntie Rose", as our families grew up and were very close living in Tolstoi, MB. She was an amazing woman who persevered many of life's challenges and struggles with the help of her devout faith. She took pride and illustrated much love in her family, which is truly evident in her raising four wonderful daughters. Love, forgiveness, compassion, and devotion were her strengths. You will be truly missed by all who have crossed your path in life. May the eternal light shine upon her. - Posted by: Dennis Choboter (cousin) on: Aug 29, 2013
