Danny, my brother Ken and I were close friends as kids and we all worked for Danny's father doing concrete work in our teens. Danny and I shared a love for cars and snowmobiles and we spent what seemed to be a life time fixing and driving them. Following the death of my brother and with both of us starting families Danny and I drifted apart but we spent a long and special day together after his son's death. Danny sent me a card a few days later and I have kept it all these years because of its value and meaning to me. I am sad to find out that Danny passed away without me knowing he was even sick and that is a loss I will feel until I die. The thought of Danny being with my brother and his son again, is the thought I will hold on to until I see them again myself. - Posted by: Tom Lillyman (Old Friend) on: Sep 30, 2013

Can't remember when i didn't know dan. We were friends as we grew up together. We lost track of each other for about 20 years. Met him again that day and we just picked up where we left off. In our group he would have been known as the FONZ. He drove 60 miles out to help me put up my roof trusses knowing full well i'd never get them up by myself before the snow flew. That is what he was like. I was in shock for two days when i found out. Miss you Dan. I'll see you later. We'll pick where we left off. - Posted by: greg kalinn (friend) on: Aug 31, 2013

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I met Dan in the early 70's when I used to ride my bike down the back lane when I lived at 12 Frederick. I would always stop and talk with Dan about anything. Many times his Dad would be there and the 3 of us would have long conversations about cars. He always offered sound advice combined with good common sense. He took great interest and listened to what I had to say. I never left the garage without feeling like I had the answer to the problem or at least part of the solution because he wanted me to make the decision after I thought about what needed to be done. When I was 15, I bought a pair of headers for my 63 Dodge 2 door and they didn't fit. When I told Dan, he offered a trade for a pair of Drag slicks that he had in the garage. He made a great impression on this 15 year old and I will never forget running into him and always chatting for at least 15 minutes over all the years. Prayers and thoughts go out to family and friends during this difficult time. R.I.P. Dan - Posted by: Jim Levesque (Friend) on: Aug 31, 2013
