I am an old friend of Christian's, we met through TKS before I eventually moved on. I heard about Christian's passing yesterday and I was floored. I don't have words enough that could describe how awful I've felt. But even through that, reminiscing on the good and the bad him and I went through together and the trouble we both had so much fun getting into. Though he's gone, and has been for some time now, that character smile of his will at least always be with me, and undoubtedly his family. Rest easy and dream well christian, Jesus holds you now. - Posted by: Spencer vycichlo (An old friend not forgotten) on: May 11, 2015

I wonder how different things would be now if the past had occurred in a different way... I never really knew him at all, I guess it seemed as though he was liked by many and was a popular guy. Through reading all of this it sounds as though he would have been a great person, I am sorry for your suffering. - Posted by: Billy B (Had seen him a couple of times around the school.) on: Sep 28, 2014

Ah, the end-of-school class parties at our house are my memories of Christian, and my chance to meet his parents. At one party, the kids were all supposed to bring a small gift for a game - Christian brought a spoon that he had found on the ground (because he had forgotten to get a gift). I think we still have that spoon. This class loved Christian. Even though he had moved on to KE, he came to the TKS after-grad party in our yard. I'm glad he was there. It will be a treasured memory for the kids. Vic and Debbie, Riley, we are smiling with you at the good memories, hurting with you, and praying for you. So thankful that we have a Father of compassion, a God of all comfort who is with us in this, pouring out his love on you today and until you are reunited as a family. - Posted by: Patty Doerksen (Mom of Simeon, Christian's friend and classmate at TKS) on: Sep 07, 2013

We do not know this wonderful boy but it has touched our hearts greatly with the sadness of him being CALLED HOME at such an early age and the circumstances of his passing are so tragic and we pray that all involved will just take one day at a time as that is all you can do in a situation like this. Please know you are being prayed for and will be for a long time. MAY GOD BLESS THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOW AND ALWAYS. In this difficult time I have been so comforted in remembering all the times I had been able to talk with Christian and how he would always tell me how much he wanted to pursue God with his life. It is in this that I find hope, knowing that he is in a much better place and i will see him again one day. Throughout this week what has been running through my mind is the chorus of "Your Hands" by JJ Heller: "When my world is shaking, heaven stands; When my heart is breaking, I never leave your hands". That is my prayer over Christian's family and friends as they seek peace and understanding in this time of grief. - Posted by: Simeon Doerksen (Friend and former classmate) on: Sep 04, 2013

Words are unable to express our heart for you now. Best said are the words of a song by Babbie Mason, "Trust His Heart" "When your pathway grows dim, and you just can're see Him...Remember you're never alone. God is too wise to be mistaken. God is too good to be unkind. So when you don't understand, when you don't see His plan, when you can't trace His Hand....Trust His Heart "! With our Love, Prayers, and support in any way we can....Dan, Michelle, and Boys. - Posted by: Dan Riedner (Family Friend) on: Sep 04, 2013

Although our son Matt Gawiak goes to KE and knew of your son Christian it is through Matt's girlfriend, Caitlyn Pacheco that we are hearing and learning about Christian. It is unfathomable to us to try to understand the pain and loss that you are going through and it is our family's hope that you will find the strength to guide you to a place of peace knowing that Christian is resting in peace himself. - Posted by: Ed, Lori & Matt Gawiak (Caitlyn Pacheco) on: Sep 04, 2013
