La messe des funérailles aura lieu en la Cathédrale de Saint-Boniface le samedi 7 septembre à 14h avec éloges et vidéo commençant à 13h30. Tu vas nous manquer, Papa. NOE LOUIS GALLANT December 4, 1926 September 04, 2013 Peacefully, Noé died at Actionmarguerite (Taché Centre) at the age of 86 years. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 63 years, Rolande (nee Laramée) and their 10 children: Laura, Jeanne D'Arc (Guy) Thibert, Diane Schipper, Germain (Michelle), Yvan (Louise), Claire, André, Louis (Debbie), Yvette (Jim) Stevenson, Annette, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Emilienne Poirier and Marie-Louise Gallant. He will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sons-in-law, Theodore Schipper and Larry Tarasenco as well as his granddaughter Nicole Gallant all in 2007; his parents André and Aurélie, his four brothers and numerous in-laws from the Gallant and Laramée families. Noé was born on December 4, 1926 in St. François d'Assisse, Bonaventure QC. He moved to Saskatchewan in 1941 and eventually to Manitoba where he met the love of his life Rolande. Noé was employed as a long distance truck driver at Feed Rite Mills for 35 years. He worked hard and long hours to provide for his family. Noé faced many challenges in his life but his strong faith in God kept him going. After retirement Noé enjoyed bowling at Club La Vérendrye, being a member of the Canadian Native Sons and an usher at St. Boniface Cathedral. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Sean, Alain, Donald, Richard, Robert, Damien, and Pierre. A video tribute will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral followed by the funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Actionmarguerite (2ABC) for the excellent care and compassion they showed during Dad's stay. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to Actionmarguerite (Taché Centre), 185 Despins Street, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2B3. Noe was such a wonderful man and I will never forget him! I loved his sense of humor and positive attitude on life. I so enjoyed the visits with your Dad & Mom when they visited my Clinic. They reminded me so much of my Mom & Dad - so much a very part of each other and raised a wonderful big family who was their whole life!! I remember thinking after visiting with them that they had what was important in life figured out. Money, things or experiences were not the biggest things to them, but their children and grandchildren.
