Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERHARD (GEORGE) KOPP After a long life, a kind and wonderful man, Gerhard (George) Kopp, has gone on to meet his Creator. It is with deep sadness that we announce his peaceful passing on August 27, 2013, at the age of 95, with members of his family by his side. George was born on August 25, 1918 in the New Home District, near Moosehorn, Manitoba into the family of Emma and Gustav Kopp. In 1947 he married Irma Miller with whom he shared a loving and very special relationship for 59 years. Our "Pop" will be lovingly remembered by his sons Marvin (Karen), Douglas (Patricia) and James (Milka); grandchildren Darren, Amanda, Jeremiah, Kathleen, Jackson and Annika; sister-in-law Ella Cook; brothers-in-law Albert (Caroline) and Reinhold Miller, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Our father always carried himself with dignity and grace and was able to rise above life's difficult challenges with strength and courage. Dad was an absolutely one-of-a-kind loving husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was found in the company of family, friends and his grandchildren, for whom he always had a special place in his heart and a strong devotion to. Dad, your spiritual presence we will always have, our fond and loving memories of you will always endure. Thank you for believing in us, for your guidance and for your generous understanding and support. Rest in love and peace. A service was held in honour of George on September 2, 2013 at the Lions Manor with Pastor Helen Kennedy officiating. Interment took place at the Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Our family wishes to express the deepest gratitude for the compassion and medical care our father received from the many wonderful support workers and nurses who took excellent care of him during his time at Lions Manor. My sympathies to all of George's family. He was a delight to visit with over these past 3 years. In my last visit with him he seemed to know it was nearing his time. It was a privilege to know him. I know he will be missed by all of you. May God grant you peace and celebration in George's memories - Posted by: Pastor Kolleen Karlowsky-Clark (Pastor) on: Sep 07, 2013
