PAULINE HOSALUK (nee CARON) On Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the age of 84 Pauline passed away to join her beloved husband John who passed away in 1994. Pauline will be sadly missed by her son Bob (Suzanne), grandson Kyle and son Larry (Sherry), grandsons Jeremy (Michelle) and Jon, and great-grandson Parker. She is also survived by sister Berthe Caron, m.o., brothers Aimé, Louis, and Gilles, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family. She was predeceased by her parents Xavier and Anna, sister Rita and brothers Marcel, Denis and Raymond. Pauline was born in St. Charles, MB, June 17, 1929 and attended St. Charles Academy while growing up on the family farm. She worked as a hairdresser until 1956 when she married John Hosaluk. Son Bob was born in 1957 and Larry in 1960. She was a devoted wife and an inspiring mother. Later on Pauline was the smiling face behind the counter at McKnight's Drugstore in Westdale. Mom's passions were cooking, petit point, refinishing antique furniture with John and of course their award winning yard, flower beds and exceptional vegetable garden. Together mom and dad were an incredibly talented team. Visitors to the Hosaluk home were always offered a meal to remember. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and bowling companions. The family would like to thank the care givers of the 5th floor at the Grace Hospital for their compassionate care in the last few days of her life. A Celebration of Pauline's Life will be held on Friday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pauline's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. • It was with sadness that we received news of Pauline's passing. I have so many fond memories of visiting with Pauline and family as a little girl on the farm in No. Dakota and at their home. May Pauline enjoy eternal rest. Our prayers are with all her loved ones. Cousin Viola - Posted by: Viola Bourgeois Schaefer (Cousin from Calif.) on: Sep 10, 2013

  • Our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you and your Family on the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May the Peace God's promise offers help to ease your grief today and may He always be beside you as you go along life's way. Somewhere a journey begins at the end of the worldly existence we know. Somewhere a path stretches over the stars, and rivers of memories flow. Somewhere a silence is heard far away and the rightness of day fills the night, where the trials of life are resolved into peace when a soul finds its way to the light. Thinking of you. - Posted by: Robert & Elsie Fulawka & Family (Nephew to Ruby Hosaluk) on: Sep 10, 2013
